My posts are falling behind, but only because this dumb blogger site won't always let me post pics! So our house sold. Our closing date is March 28th. Our house won't be ready by then I'm sure so we'll have to go stay with my in laws for at least a month. We are hoping for end of April for our place to be ready, but it is hard to predict at this point.
Anyway, the roof is on and shingled. We have windows, which look so good. We got windows with pewter grills on the inside, and the grills are just along the outsides of the window not through the window like most windows have. The pewter is really subtle and looks nice.
My hubby has literally been working his butt off - literally - he has lost quite a bit of weight the bastard! He works from 6-2 everyday and then heads over to the house and works there until supper time. He'll come home and eat and then go back and work till about 930-10 almost every night. He has had a hand in almost every step in the progress so far. The furnace and water heater are in. The duct work is done. We have our inspection by Union Gas tomorrow to make sure everything is in good order. He has been working on the electrical and has a lot done so far. I have to give credit where credit is due. He will really be able to say that he helped build his family home.
The plumbing is getting done the a contractor friend out of Mount Pleasant. This will at least be getting done through the day and then hubby can go in and continue to work on the electrical. We were hoping to be able to start drywalling soon.
We are almost settled on the kitchen design and I think this is what we are going with more or less.

This is the colour I'm thinking for the cabinets

This is kind of what I'm thinking for the counter top. I found one I like but I couldn't find the exact picture of it online. But I think it was similar to this.
Getting busy picking out things like lighting now too. And I've started packing - I hate packing.
Anyway, no new pics of the house yet but nothing really worth taking pics of right now. But I will continue to keep you posted on our progress.
